Course Mini Sales Page

Lets start with some overview. A sales page provides your customers with the information they need to determine if they want to purchase your course or product. A checkout or purchase page is where they put in their credit card information and take action to purchase the course or product.

Within the site we are creating for you, you will have a sales page. That sales page will lead to a checkout page that you host and maintain.

There are 2 different kinds of sales pages that you may want. These 2 kinds of sales pages are geared toward different kinds of customers. Let's start by addressing the traditional sales page.

The traditional sales page, ie. video sales page or long form sales page, is a page that you are going to use marketing dollars to drive relatively cold traffic to. These pages are usually heavy on design, require tracking pixels and codes added and are updated frequently. We recommend you create one of these pages and we recommend that you house it on your existing website. By hosting this sales page on your site you will have direct access to it. You can customize it and make updates whenever you want without having to go through or relay your updates to us.

Traditional sales page creation is not part of our service offering, but if you are looking for marketing support and want a recommendation - let us know. Also, if you want us to provide feedback once this page is developed we are happy to do that.

The second kind of sales page is the one that we are talking about in the task that likely directed you to this help doc. It is what we call a mini sales page. It is an expanded course description that we add to the membership site.

This sales page is more course content based. It is geared toward warm leads that have arrived at your site based on the recommendation of a current client or because a person clicked on one of your course badges and was lead through the "viral social loop" back to the website. This sales page usually contains a long description of the course, the product image, the price of the course and a call to action button.

If you think that people need more info to make a choice on whether to purchase your course the button can say "Learn More" and lead to a sales page or interest form (or really whatever you like). If you think that person will be ready to buy from just the description and social proof alone then the button can be an "Enroll Now" button and can take them straight to a purchase page.
