Leaderboard Functionality
This article explains how users earn points tallied on the leaderboard and how to choose what to display on the leaderboard.
One of the emerging trends within e-learning is the use of some form of gamification. There are many ways to implement this, but one of the quickest (and most effective) strategies is to add points and badges. We want our customers to have access to the latest strategies, so starting today, you can now award badges (or points) to your users based on their interactions with courses, lessons, and quizzes!
How to earn points
Your users can instantly earn points for:
Passing a quiz
Failing a quiz
Perfect score on quiz
Completing a lesson
Completing a course
In addition, you can even allow your users to rack-up some points by:
Adding posts
Adding comments
Registering for your LMS
Visiting posts
Number of users displayed on leaderboard
We have flexibility for the number of clients that you show on the leaderboard. Let us know if you would like to make it 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 ,etc…
Information displayed on leaderboard
You may have some privacy concerns for your leaderboard and displaying user info. You can choose which information to display such as username, first name, initials, etc. to make sure that your users are comfortable with their information being shared while participating in some friendly competition.
